A prominent international seminar was held today at the Grand Conference Hall of The Prince Park Tower Tokyo, bringing together legal and business professionals to explore best practices in international contract drafting and organizational efficiency.
The seminar began promptly at 8:30 AM with a keynote address by Ms. Mina Alavash, who delivered an insightful lecture titled “Key Essentials in Drafting International Commercial Contracts.” Ms. Alavash began by explaining the foundational aspects of contract law, focusing on how to properly introduce contracting parties, followed by the structuring of clauses and articles according to international trade principles.
Key topics of her session included product supply terms, payment obligations, contract termination and its consequences, force majeure provisions, and international arbitration systems. She also emphasized the importance of clearly identifying the authorized signatories and including appropriate annexes and appendices in the final documents.
Following her presentation, Professor Jun Sugiura addressed the audience on the concept of Kaizen and Continuous Improvement. Professor Sugiura emphasized that cost reduction and productivity enhancement in organizations are heavily dependent on the proper application of Kaizen principles across industries. He highlighted the elimination of waste (Muda), effective time management, and the implementation of the 5S methodology as key drivers of operational excellence in renowned Japanese brands.
The seminar concluded with a lively Q&A session, during which both speakers answered participants’ questions. Attendees were then awarded official certificates of participation recognizing their engagement in this international business event.

Technical Visit to Toyota Manufacturing Plant
Venue: Miyagi Ohira factory
As part of the ongoing Training and industrial tour in Japan, the group visited the Toyota Motor Corporation’s manufacturing facilities on May 9, 2025. The factory tour included direct observation of major production stages such as vehicle assembly, the Robotic section, as well as the integration of electrical and electronic systems. Participants gained firsthand insight into Toyota’s advanced manufacturing technologies, automation processes, and renowned quality control systems.
Participants could follow the vehicle assembly line from body welding to final inspection, gaining firsthand insight into the integration of robotic automation, just-in-time (JIT) logistics, and lean manufacturing principles that define the Toyota Production System (TPS). Special focus was placed on the electrical and electronic systems installation, where wiring harnesses, ECUs, and battery modules are integrated into the vehicles.
In addition, the tour highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and smart manufacturing, including its efforts in energy efficiency, carbon neutrality, and next-generation mobility technologies such as hybrid and electric vehicle production.
This visit aimed to deepen understanding of operational excellence and industrial innovation through one of the world’s most advanced automotive production environments.

Visit to Expo 2025 Japan
As part of the cultural and innovation-focused segment of the Japan tour, the group visited Expo Japan on May 12, 2025. Held every four years and hosted by a different country selected through a global bidding process, the World Expo is one of the largest international exhibitions, bringing together over 160 nations to showcase their latest innovations and visionary ideas.
This year’s Expo highlights cutting-edge developments in technology, sustainability, and global collaboration. During the visit, participants have explored national pavilions and interactive displays focused on themes such as future mobility, smart infrastructure, renewable energy, and AI-driven solutions, gaining insight into how different countries are shaping the future through innovation.
