Familiarity with the rules and regulations of international trade agreements-2019 March 5th

The ICC Secretary In the first workshop, “Introduction to the Rules and Regulations of International Commercial Contracts”, stated : Trade is in the blood of Iranians.

For the first time in Iran, the workshop “Introduction to the latest rules and regulations of international trade agreements” was held in Iran with the presence of “Paul Andrew”, professor and secretary of the Banking Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The Czech Republic, Esfandiar Omid Bakhsh, Director General of Multilateral Trade Relations of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Mina Alavash, Director of Education of the Educational and Research Institute of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture hall on March 5, 2017.

The instructor of this workshop has a special position at the level of the European Union, CIS countries, Africa, etc., and has valuable experience with leading European companies as well as the International Chamber of Commerce.

At the beginning of the workshop, which was organized in collaboration with the Educational and Research Institute of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and with the help of the “Asre Goftego Qalam Institute”, Pavel Andrew, Secretary of the Banking Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce, said: I came to Iran from the Czech Republic. I have 25 years of experience in banking and financial education around the world. Considering that the Czech Republic is one of the members of the International Chamber of Commerce, we have been able to train in the last 20 years. Have different rules and regulations for companies and importers so that they can contract with each other Make a good deal.

The Secretary of the Banking Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce stated about the review of the latest rules of international trade agreements: It is 2010, but a new version of 2020 is expected to be released in the next six months, and we are here today to explain these rules and prepare participants for the latest version of the rules of international trade agreements to be mentally prepared.

Referring to ICC’s main activity, the university professor said: “ICC’s main activity is in the field of sales contracts, what we can do in sales contracts and what rules of Incoterms we can use;” In this workshop, we try to keep these rules in mind so that traders and importers can count on you as a point of reference and you can use them in your sales contracts.

Regarding the ability of Iranian businessmen, Paul Andrew explained: “I see interest in everyone who attends the meeting. With the questions they ask, I realize that everyone is knowledgeable. I can say ,  trade is in the blood of  Iranian .”

He added: “Of course, you need to be familiar with the standards that exist in the world in terms of rules, regulations and principles so that you can move in the right and standard direction.”

“It’s very important for the buyer to deliver the goods. In return, it will be important for the seller to pay for the goods so that the buyer can settle the costs at the time of delivery,” said Paul Andrew.

He added that, cooperation between the buyer and the seller is one of the main points of a contract.

“Before you sign a contract, do some research to find out what features the other party has and pay attention to that. In international sales contracts, the ICC has helped us a lot,” he said. Make good use of international rules.

He said that most of the laws registered in the International Trade Organization are used by countries. Sometimes the time of delivery of goods is very important for the buyer, in the contract, the time of termination of the transaction can be received from the due date.

“In some contracts, the goods received are different from the order made, so the seller can replace or compensate for the damage, or an agreement can be reached between the buyer and the seller. But when the buyer pays for it,” said Andrew. There should be a delay in paying the interest and the amount of interest that the buyer pays to the seller.

Omid Bakhsh, Director General of Multilateral Trade Relations of the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said in part of this workshop: “In this training course, we will review the latest rules of international trade agreements.”

He added: “This training course is the first cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce, the Educational and Research Institute of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Oceanic Chambers of Commerce, which introduces the participants to the latest developments in the field of international trade agreements.”

Regarding the mission of the Chamber of Commerce, the Director General of Multilateral Trade Relations of the Iran Chamber of Commerce stated: The mission of the Chamber of Commerce is to acquaint businessmen and producers with the activities that take place in the field of international trade.

“Mina Alavash,” the director of education at the Iran Chamber of Commerce’s Educational and Research Institute, said : By New rules and regulations of trade many problems can be solved along the way.

She said: “Today, we are hosting 85 business executives who conduct international and European transactions. In this seminar, we will discuss how to export zero to 100 payments, banking transactions and how to transport.”

At the end of the course, participants received a valid international certificate from the Educational and Research Institute of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
