According to the public relations of Asre Goftego Qalam  Cultural and Artistic Institute, the conference “Celebrating the world’s football practitioners with the stars of Iran” with the presence of prominent artistic and sports figures and sports officials, was held on 28^th Aug 2015 and  the intellectuals in the field of art and sports were praised by the officials .

The two football teams of Stars of Iran and the World in a charity match, in favor of MS patients and hosted by Asre Goftego Qalam Cultural and Artistic Institute as the exclusive host of this event, met on 28^th Aug 2015 at Azadi Stadium. The score was 3-0 in favor of Luis Figo’s teammates.

The French website “lavenir” wrote about this friendly match: “A team in the form of world football stars is scheduled to go to this country in September of this year to hold a friendly match against Iranian artists.” In fact, Iran’s return to the international football scene has led the country to host the match.

“Because of the international sanctions imposed on Iran, the country has not been able to bring the world’s western football stars to its homeland for nearly 10 years.”

After the match between the football stars of Iran and the stars of world football, two players from the stars of the world praised Iran for holding this game.

Luis Figo, the world’s best player in 2001, and Fabio Cannavaro, the world’s best player in 2006, thanked Iran in separate messages posted on their Instagram pages.
