 Lars took over the position as Head of International Projects at bremenports in 2014. bremenports is the state-owned infrastructure manager of the port of Bremen and Bremerhaven, Germany. bremenports International focuses on advisory and training for all matters related to maritime logistics and ports.

Lars´ professional interests include port planning and development as well as trade and global supply chain issues. Previously, he worked for HSH Nordbank AG as deputy head of a team of senior analysts. He and his team contributed to building up the bank´s port finance portfolio.

Prior to joining HSH Nordbank, Lars worked for BLG CONSULT GmbH, the in-house consultancy of BLG LOGISTICS GROUP, the Bremen-based terminal operator and logistics service provider. In this role he was involved in international consultancy assignments in port commercialisation and development. For these projects he travelled widely, mainly in Europe, East Asia and the Middle East.

Lars holds a master´s degree in logistics of Cranfield University. His PhD focused on European seaport law. Lars is a visiting professor with the World Maritime University and with University of Applied Sciences Wismar.
