In this seminar, which was held at 9:30 at one of the offices of the Paris Bar Association, Ms. Mina Alavash was the first speaker, who discussed the essential points in international commercial contract writing. Ms. Alavash started the issues of writing from the initial agreements, which obtained all the issues desired by the parties raised in the negotiation meeting. This draft will be called AGREEMENT or MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU). Ms. Alavash considered it necessary to observe the use of specialized and legal vocabularies in the MOU text. She added that identifying the signatories of the memorandum or contract is also one of the important matters in writing.
After welcoming the group of managers and owners of Iranian industry, by Mr. Baki Maneche & Mr.Jean Charles Albitre, the meeting changes in different forms of its usual way. In the continuation of this training meeting, both speakers answered the important questions of the participants about their problems in their contracts which caused too much financial penalty for them. The questions were about the following issues:
– The supply of products (in the agreement the quality of the brand was written, but the delivery was checked in different quality)
– The terms of payment (in the MOU was written, that all the payments would be done on a certain date, but the seller claimed the earlier date)
– The transportation from the ports in different countries, but the sender put the consignment in the ports that we have not agreed on.
And many other questions were mentioned by participants, which all were answered.
